Our spacious premises located in the village of Balhannah in the beautiful Adelaide Hills is a reflection of our wonderful and unique patch of the planet. The Olive Branch offers a relaxed and welcoming environment that represents everything we love about the Hills.
We offer city quality “foodie level” dining, minus the pretense – and the price tag!
Our modern Australian menu offers a generous selection that is sure to offer something to please any taste and appetite – and our award winning kid’s menu provides a wide selection of tasty and healthy choices for the littlies.
Special dietary requirements? No problem. We offer a great selection of gluten and dairy free dishes; and we can prepare gluten and dairy free variants of many of our standard menu items. We also provide a generous choice of vegetarian and vegan dishes and if you have a nut or other specific allergy – no problem, we’ve got you covered. If you can’t find something that suits your specific needs on our menu or a simply unsure, simply ask one of our friendly staff.
Coffee
Coffee – a topic very near and dear to our hearts (We are a café after all..).
We take our coffee very seriously and believe you’ll be hard pressed to find a better brew. We use premium quality Di Bella beans to ensure a consistently great coffee, every time.
If you’re a fan of the milky variety then we think our Di Bella espresso combined with local Tweedvale milk makes for the best latté or flat white you’ll find south of, …that place in Italy renowned for its lattes and flat whites!
Spacious & Relaxed
Spacious, relaxed and with a local focus, our dining area provides standard, café-style table seating that can be configured for single or large group dining (large groups should phone ahead..), plus an unapologetically eclectic collection of comfy couches and chairs that are just perfect to take a load off if you’re waiting on some “food to go”, or if you’re simply looking to while away some time with a coffee and good book.
Our focus on our local community includes a gallery area where we feature the works of many of our talented local artists. Artwork is rotated regularly with many pieces available for purchase. We also offer a small range of locally produced retail items, again, with a focus on local artisans and producers.
Oh and did we mention we have a dedicated Children’s play area? Our children’s play area provides a fun and safe space filled with toys and activities sure to keep the little one’s amused while the grown-ups enjoy some (probably much needed) time out, coffee and a chat.
Last but not least, for those times when coffee just won’t do, yes we’re licensed!
